SPECIAL EDITION, WHO ARE THE LEADERS OF TOMORROW?

By Theophilus Adams

FROM the title of this article the first thing one would have in mind is the youth, but how true could that be? Why do we think the youths are ready to lead tomorrow? What have they done to show they can actually lead tomorrow?
Youths today have a nonchalant and indolent attitude.
They have taken a step to far away from what is important and placed their hopes on things that  matters less to the society.
In the early 60s, 70s,80s,and 90s, graduates were given jobs even before they finish their final projects as graduates of higher tertiary institutions,
Lots of students today make references to this and claims the government has made things to hard for them that's why such opportunities don't come by anymore but then it is pertinent to note that the graduates of the early 60s, 70s,80s,and 90s were students with zeal and desires burning inside them ready to take a chance and show the world what they can offer, they wrote articles in support and against the government, they were political activist, and they were wide readers and they kept up with everything around them. But this days what do we have? We have graduates who can barely write their projects, graduates that can barely read through a line without making mistakes, and also graduates that actually studied whatever the university gave them to study which is a sign that they just want to graduate and place all hope and luck and government. No youth wants to read a book No youth wants to be challenged
No youth wants to work hard
They all sleep in comfort and dream of things only achieve able by hard work but with a different perspective and direction, every body wants to live a comfortable life but nobody wants to feel uncomfortable while achieving this goals.
This perception must change and the earlier the youths realize that the real world requires real efforts the better for them
