Kogi State Government Disrupt Peaceful Protest By Student From Closed Institutions In The Past Two Months

Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) Kogi State University, Anyigba Chapter  and other state owned higher institution were forced by the Kogi State Government to embark on an indefinite, comprehensive ‘strike’ action since Friday 3rd February, 2017.
Recall that the Joint Action Congress (JAC) of all non teaching staff unions of the state owned tertiary institutions were equally compelled by the Kogi State Government and had embarked on similar indefinite ‘strike’ action since Tuesday 31st January, 2017.

The aggrieved students who were  staging protest in the state capital, blocking and stopping movement of vehicles at Nataco- Felele junction were distrupt by the government when three students were arrested by the police.

Except they have good reasons for arresrting those students, it was a peaceful protest and it must have gone through the right procedures for students to turn up in large numbers. We are yet to hear from the government.
